SINGLES LEAGUE: ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

1. The Singles League fixtures are now available on the NBSA Dashboard.  Please remember that you need to login to the Dashboard using your NBSA username and password to see the fixtures and/or enter results.

2. Contact information to arrange your matches can be found by clicking the player contact info link in the menu on the left of the page.

3.  Results must be submitted by 11.59pm on the match deadline date on the NBSA DASHBOARD (link on the left of the page) or by informing Rob Garratt, Wayne Martin or Dan Norton (contact info).

4. You must contact your opponent to arrange your matches AT LEAST two weeks before the deadline for the match result.  If you can't produce evidence that you have done so then you can't claim the match even if your opponent is not available.  The best way to have evidence is to contact your opponent by sms text message so you can produce the sent message if required.  In the modern age their are very few legitimate reasons for not contacting your opponent.

5. If you can not contact your opponent by TWO WEEKS before the match deadline then you must inform Rob Garratt, Wayne Martin or Dan Norton AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE the match deadline (contact info).

6. If you change your telephone number you must contact Dan Norton with your new contact details (contact info).

7. If you have any problems arranging or playing your matches then you must contact Rob Garratt (or Wayne Martin/Dan Norton if Rob is not available).  We will grant a short extension to the match deadline in exceptional circumstances.

8. Failure to honour your fixtures will result in a one year ban from NBSA competitions except in exceptional circumstances (e.g. bereavement or serious illness). To put it bluntly, don't be incredibly unsporting and selfish by dropping out once you lose a few games.  EVERY match counts in a league and it is NOT just about yourself.

9.  Please submit any general queries about handicaps or player discipline using the "COMMENTS, HANDICAPS, DISCIPLINARY MATTERS" link in the menu on the left of the page.

Wow! That's blunt! but very well put though. I think you put it in a nutshell.

I'll put it another way. Don't get dispondant if you lose a few games. Things can only get better. Fair play and sportsmanship are the lifeblood of the game.

Good look everyone.
